1 Million Minutes

Over 42 million minutes pledged to end elderly loneliness.

With Christmas and the New Year being one of the loneliest times for older people, Good Morning Britain launched our 1 Million Minutes campaign during December asking the public to pledge just 30 minutes of their time to help an older person. There was a great response from the public with over 42 million minutes pledged to help an elderly neighbour, friend or relative.

The campaign was run in partnership with the charities The Silver Line, Royal Voluntary Service, Age UK and Campaign to End Loneliness with over 17,000 visiting the dedicated webpage and almost 4,000 people signing up to specific volunteering opportunities with those charities.
