Tonight we were proud to host the Asian Media Awards Shortlist Announcement at our London Studios. Ahead of this year’s awards that take place on 27th October in Manchester, the official shortlist of nominees was announced.
The Asian Media Awards, now in their fourth year recognise the efforts of media organisations in increasing diversity and showcases the very best of talent working in the Asian and mainstream media.
Categories include Journalist of the Year, TV Report of the Year, Media Personality of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to Media, Best TV Character, Best Website and Outstanding Young Journalist.
Asif Zubiary, Commissioning Editor for ITV Entertainment, welcomed guests to the evening and highlighted why we’re proud to support the event – “we hope the awards might incentivise Asian creatives to strive to be the best in their field… and that some of you in the room tonight might, one day, contribute your skills to ITV. And if not us, then on screen, on air or on-line in front of as many people as possible”.
Guests from across the creative industries including actors, bloggers, journalists and radio stars joined us along with students from the University of Salford to hear who this year’s shortlisted nominees are.
